According to Wikipedia, Google Partners, originally Google Adwords Certification Program or GoogleAdwords Certification, is a Google AdWords partner certification program, providing AdWords qualifications to agencies that pass exams (adwords exam i.e. Fundamental, and either Search Advanced or Display Advanced exam) and other criteria.
Next question in your mind would be does it cost to give the google adwords certification exam?
The answer is NO.
To obtain certification, you’ll need to clinch the AdWords Fundamentals exam and at least one Advanced exam.
Previously, taking each of the exams would cost $50 but Google stopped taking that fee in September 2013, allowing everyone to test their AdWords skills for free.

In simple words, agencies get partner tag whereas individuals get certified.
For earning a badge as a company, you will have to go through a specific process after joining the partner program.

Now it is free to take the test. If you take the test and fail, there is a time period where you have to wait before you can give it a go again.
The entire certification program is now re-branded as ‘Google Partners‘. You can access the Google Partners website at https://www.google.com/partners/

Simply, click on Adwords below Certifications and you will get this:
As mentioned in the image above, to get google adwords certified professional you’ll need to pass the AdWords Fundamentals exam and one of the other AdWords exams.
There are 6 different exams (as of November 2016):
- Adwords Fundamental
- Search Advertising
- Display Advertising
- Video Advertising
- Shopping Advertising
- Mobile Advertising
Out of these 6 you need to pass 2 exams at least to get your google adwords certification. And out of those 2 exams, Adwords Fundamentals is mandatory.

I have recently renewed my Google Adwords Certification by re-taking the exams of November 5th 2016.
When I successfully passed my Adwords Fundamentals exam I got this message:
When I successfully passed my Display Advertising exam I got this message:
After you pass the exams you will get the google adwords certification which you can get printed.
And where’s that?
You will have to once again click on Certification > Adwords as mentioned here:
You can also click on “My Profile” under Overview tab which will show you something like the one below:
You can see your Google Adwords Certificate by clicking on that blue color line which says “Adwords Display certified” with a blue tick mark.
It will display your Google Adwords Certification in a new window. Here’s a printable version of mine:
You can also get a link which you can share online with other people.
This link will show your profile with the certification just like the one here:
If someone wants to verify it online they can.

How can you access this link for your certification?
Go to Overview > My profile and then scroll down where it shows you “Public Profile” like the one mentioned here:
Make sure that you turn the visibility into public so that others can see it. Click on “View profile” in blue color to get your profile link for online verification.
